Course Overview

This one-day ultrasound course will consist of didactic lectures followed by a hands-on ultrasound experience (live models and simulators). During this course, Maternal-Fetal Medicine expert faculty and experienced sonographers will scan live models alongside course participants.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this course, learners should be better able to: 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of fetal biometry, placental location, and a systematic approach to cervical length evaluation;

  • Discuss imaging parameters for basic fetal anatomy, basic fetal cardiac anatomy, and cardiac variations; and

  • Understand appropriate acquisition for amniotic fluid assessment and fetal antenatal testing (biophysical profile).
