Course Overview

The goal of this one-day course is to provide participants with advanced, focused training in REI ultrasound techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making in reproductive medicine. Through hands-on and didactic learning, attendees will develop increased knowledge needed to assess ovarian reserve, recognize and manage gynecological pathologies, evaluate uterine anomalies, and diagnose pregnancy complications, all while integrating cutting-edge ultrasound techniques into their clinical practice to improve outcomes in fertility treatments and early pregnancy care.

Goal

This course is designed to improve patient care by learning practical tips in scanning and recognizing pitfalls in the sonographic assessment of joints. 


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Assess ovarian reserve with ultrasound.  
  • Recognize and differentiate gynecological pathologies, including various types of fibroids, ovarian cysts, and adnexal pathology.
  • Identify advanced 3D ultrasound techniques and measure Müllerian anomalies that influence pregnancy outcomes and distinguish bicornuate from septate uterus configurations. 
  • Confidently diagnose endometrial abnormalities that can influence pregnancy outcomes in IUI and IVF cycles. 
  • Acquire increased knowledge in diagnosing early pregnancy complications, such as ectopic pregnancies, missed abortions, and subchorionic hematomas, with precision and confidence. 
  • Explain the sonographic assessment of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), including accurate measurements of enlarged ovaries and identification of ascites. 
  • Describe cutting-edge techniques for evaluating tubal patency and uterine cavity abnormalities using uterine cavity and tubal patency evaluation procedures.
