Hosted by the AIUM, this 2-day course provides a comprehensive introduction to MSK ultrasound and will help you:

Attend in person at the AIUM Education Center in Laurel, Maryland, or participate online from your home or office. Seating is limited for in-person participants.

Online participation includes live demos of each joint and Q&A with an instructor.

Goal

This course is designed to improve patient care by learning practical tips in scanning and recognizing pitfalls in the sonographic assessment of joints. 


Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the normal sonographic appearance of muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the six major joints;
  • Recognize sonographic features of common pathology involving the joints studied;
  • List practical scanning times and pitfalls encountered in sonographic assessment of joints; and
  • Apply skills learned into clinical practice.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellation must be received by December 19, 2024, to receive a refund of the course registration fee minus a $200 administration fee. Written cancellations received after December 19, 2024, will not receive a refund. All cancellations must be received by the AIUM via e-mail to learn@aium.org. In the unlikely event that the program is canceled, seminar registration fees will be fully refunded. However, please note that the AIUM cannot be held responsible for any travel or hotel costs incurred by participants.
