Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify ultrasound findings helpful in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients with abnormal uterine bleeding and postmenopausal bleeding.  

  • Review how to use transvaginal ultrasound to evaluate patients with pelvic pain and suspected endometriosis, including how to identify adenomyosis and how to use ultrasound as a surgical planning tool. 

  • Explain how enhanced myometrial vascularity (EMV) is not an acquired venous malformation (AVM) when evaluating patients with retained products of conception.

  • Evaluate and triage management of adnexal lesions using standard terms, the IOTA models, and the O-RADS system.

Cancellation Policy

Written cancellation must be received by September 27, 2024, to receive a refund of the course registration fee minus a $150 administration fee. Written cancellations received after September 27, 2024, will not receive a refund. All cancellations must be received by the AIUM via e-mail to learn@aium.org. In the unlikely event that the program is canceled, seminar registration fees will be fully refunded. However, please note that the AIUM cannot be held responsible for any travel or hotel costs incurred by participants.
