Distinguished Sonographer Award

Established in 1997, the Distinguished Sonographer Award is a means of recognizing and honoring current or retired AIUM members who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of medical ultrasound. This annual presentation honors an individual whose outstanding contributions to the development of medical ultrasound warrant special merit.

Memorial Hall of Fame

The Memorial Hall of Fame serves as a posthumous tribute to a creative and devoted physician, sonographer, research scientist, or other individual who has been an active member of the AIUM as an officer, Board of Governors member, award recipient, JUM editor or deputy editor, or committee/COP leader and contributed to the field of ultrasound in medicine.
