New Applications of "Wireless" Handheld Point-of-Care Ultrasound

After this session, participants should be able to discuss recent advances in wireless handheld applications of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). This session will discuss: (1) the range of penetration wireless POCUS has in clinical practice; (2) the specific challenges posed and solutions to the increasing demands for wireless POCUS in developed and developing countries; (3) the impact of wireless POCUS on teaching, research, and global health care practices; and (4) identifying potential areas for collaboration and technological innovation. The evolution of wireless POCUS is changing the landscape of ultrasound application and greatly expanding the clinical specialties using ultrasound.
